Kingdom Transformation Scripture: Colossians 1:12-22 “Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: 13Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: 14In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: 15Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: 16For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: 17And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. 18And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. 19For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; 20And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. 21And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled 22In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:” I. A renewed mind. Romans 12:1-2 “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” A. To have our minds renewed is to actually put on the mind of Christ. Philippians 2:5 “Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus,” B. If we have truly come into the Kingdom of God, we have access to the mind of Christ. I Corinthians 2:14-16 “But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. 16For “who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?”£ But we have the mind of Christ.” C. This transformation of the mind causes us to call for the transformation of the earth. Matthew 6:10 “Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” II. Access to the Father. A. Those with a transformed mind understand that they have regained the ability to communicate with Father God. B. Before salvation we had no open access to the voice of God. John 8:42-43 “Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and came from God; nor have I come of Myself, but He sent Me. 43Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word.” C. A transformed mind allows us to access the voice of Father God. Psalm 34:15 “The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry.” D. Renewed access gives us the opportunity to call upon God to help us experience the development of a Kingdom mindset. Romans 5:1-4 “Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 3And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; 4and perseverance, character; and character, hope” 1. How we, as believers, talk. 2. How we, as believers, act. 3. We have hope when every thing around us is falling apart. 4. We are able to hold up and hang in there when tough times come our way. III. The Power of God. John 14:12-14 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. 13And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.” A. The transformation that comes as a result of coming into the Kingdom gives us an understanding of the power that He has given the Church to deal with the forces of evil. Ephesians 3:8-12 “To me, who am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ, 9and to make all see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the ages has been hidden in God who created all things through Jesus Christ; 10to the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places, 11according to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord, 12in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him.” 1. We have nothing to boast about because the power comes from God and is a result of our intimacy with Him. 2. Kingdom transformation opens up revelation concerning what Christ has made possible and available to us. 3. The very authority of Christ over principalities and powers has been given to the Church to exercise in the restoration of the Kingdom. 4. If we don’t know what to do or how to do it, we have access to the throne to get the answers. B. Kingdom transformation gives us the ability to do spiritual warfare and come out as victors. Ephesians 6:10-12 “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” 1. We don’t wage warfare indiscriminately but according to the leading of the Spirit of God. 2. Carnal thinking will only bring defeat, because this is a spiritual battle. 3. The power of God is in the spiritual armor the Church wears. IV. I want a Kingdom transformation. Romans 8:29 “For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.”
